Early Birthday Presents / Latest round of upgrades..

Remove this ad
On the car:

FG2's
TPiS Headers and High flow cats (close to best money every spent)
K&N Drop in filter
KDW tires
Ipod kit
Speakers
Passport SRX with z3 lazer shifters (Best money ever spent..)

On order:
B&M Short Shifter
Hotchkis Sways
UUC Bushings
Lindsy's rear strut tower brace

Am I missing anything here guys? You know, besides the obv cat back and xpipe (not worth it right now and sort of ruins the whole sleeper aspect) or maggie (everyone needs one, no really). Just looking to round out the car.

Car will be tuned with HP tuners before leaving florida as well...

And I promise you, Trukk will shoot you if anyone suggests 20's

Re: Early Birthday Presents / Latest round of upgrades..

I'll see what i can do, I dont have a video camera (just a camera with a tiny mic and video mode) Maybe if nikon or CSP300000 wants to help out i could shoot a propper video.

The best way to describe it is the stock sound.... just pissed off - in a good way.

Re: Early Birthday Presents / Latest round of upgrades..

That's a very nice list of mods It's exciting as hell to upgrade these cars. My wife just got a $24,000 pay raise yesterday so I am just about to pull the trigger on a Maggie

Cheers on your new mods and post a sound clip when you get a chance.

Re: Early Birthday Presents / Latest round of upgrades..

Scan as soon as i get off the Dyno, clip as soon as I can find a video camera to do it some justice.

(its an 06 LS2 "truck" motor. On the other hand it was dead even / pulling on csp3000's full header back exhaust and tuned 05... I dont think i stand much of a chance now that he got the maggie though)

How about a ground control kit? I agree on the cat-back. You have the headers, so you wont gain much.

Re: Early Birthday Presents / Latest round of upgrades..

Your going nuts!
I don't have them but I think you shoud get the low profile, electric exhaust dumps. They are only like $300. Someone has the set up sweet with a small piece of exhaust pipe after the dumps. Painted black for stealth.

Heres the thread http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...install-2.html

Re: Early Birthday Presents / Latest round of upgrades..

Exhaust cut outs... now that'd be fun! My car is still pretty quiet now... it'd be funny to be able to throw a switch and wake up the neighborhood!

What kind of gains do people actually see from them though? do you have to be able to tune for both?

I'm moving back to boston soon for Thailand and then law school. I've got to catch a ride before I'm gone for good!

Anyway I think I'll stick with suspension mods - Maybe an intake manifold - the TPiS header and a retune.

Real speed for me is in the corners - but I'm sure you'll dominate those big Florida highways...

Maybe in the future.

I want to see how far i can go on the FG2's - with a little help from Hotchkis and Lindsey. When I had my WRX the best ride I ever found was from a set of JDM 06 STi s203 coil overs... basically the factory race suspension. I really like the way the FG2's make the car just as much fun to drive slow as to drive fast.

and I've got those Boston roads to deal with
