Some of the V specific bits can be pricey though, as economies of scale aren't there (i.e. rims are expensive (minimum of $250 each, for scratched oem takeoffs), $400 short shifter, $1500 headers, etc.) From 65 mph to 135 is a very sweet spot for the V.With about 380 rwhp, I raced my buddies SRT-10 Viper, from 65-135, and lost by 1.5 cars. Lost to a SL55 same speed by .5 cars. If you get that FI itch again, you can bolt on a supercharger for not a lot of coin.
Evo's and STI's are cool, but once you hit 30 (or younger) it's time to move into something a bit more wolf in sheeps clothing.
Sleeper factor in this car is 10+, especially if you de-badge. The WTF was that looks you get are PRICELESS, especially from the BMW owners, and Rice-A-Roni's.
-Chris | To be honest, I never go from a stop in my Evo. I always just go from a roll, easier on the drivetrain, and not to sound cocky, but im currently 13-0 as far as kills go. No need to go from a stop unless I really, really have too. I have really been wanting to race a C6 Z06 here lately, but cant find anyone around here. |

All this talk about wheel hop, and nobody has mentioned that BMR & another company makes Anti-Wheel Hop Kits? I read they get rid of alot of the wheel hop that people are having trouble with. Why cant this be ruled out as a remedy? |

Reducing your wheelhop by 20% and increasing noise by 50% is not worth spending your money on (in most people's opinion). If the so called "Wheel Hop Eliminators" actually fixed the problem then I might consider it, but the extra noise in the cabin just isn't worth it for a slight reduction in hop.

You're gonna have to open up a different portal, cuz the setup you got there, you'll be zipping through them indefinitely. Which could be fun. Kinda. Wish there wasn't such a thing as terminal velocity. Would be cool to see it whipping through faster and faster. And even faster. Then suddenly relocate a portal and ... Splat! Hyah ha! Eh. Surry. |

Why cant this be ruled out as a remedy? | The quickest method to destroy your rear-end is to lock the thing in one position and dump the clutch. The only saving grace that we have for our stock rear-end is the fact that it floats enough to absorb some of the abuse. Once the float is gone so is the rear end. This is my opinion based on the research that I have done here and the members that I have spoken with. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
