I am going to get them gloss black and the center cap will remain silver. Since my wheels are off, I got to meet my calipers for the first time. I have to admit I like the calipers as they are, but was bored and idle hands are bad for me.
I decided to paint my calipers... I have seen a few black Vs that have black wheels and red calipers. It looks GREAT in my opinion. Soooo.
Finshed product!!!
I have to admit, after I had painted them I was a little scared it was too bright of red (it still might be). However, looking at the last picture, I am decently confident I will like this in the end.
I am also trying to get some caliper decals made that will resemble the original... if not I will just go with Brembo decals. |

Nice Work, Trew the color does'it match at all. But it looks like you upgraded your brakes instead. I would let a body shop paint them for you. It'd be worth it. If you lived any where near NEW YORK I would do it at my body shop. You need to do the rotor hats two. Mine are beginning to rust too. But will see. I'll jst paint them a nicer silver.
P.S. I LIKE YOU OIL FILER, "RED" LOL I need to find a silver oil filer. Take the brakes out and paint inside too, |

My GTP came with the red calipers. They really set the car off.
I don't know why the V didn't come that way, especially the red ones |

I really wasn't planning on doing this at first, so it was on short notice and my color selection reflects that. If I had my choice, I would match it. Please point me in the right direction as to where I can buy a caliper paint that will match my car. If it is only a bodyshop that can match it, then I might do it later. Having down time on my car is PAINFUL, I suffer withdrawal.... |

Do any of the holes have to be covered up so that the pins or other parts still fit? They are industrial powdercoaters and lack in expertise in the automotive industry. They have done wheels though, solely due to the absence of powder coaters in the area.
BTW they have told me if I need too much specialized work, they would tell me to go somewhere else. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
