B&B System - Vortex cones for drone?

I have the 3" B&B system, and I get a drone in 6th gear at about 1500-1700 RPM. Has anyone installed vortex cones, and successfully reduced or eliminated their drone?

B&B makes their own cones and is what I'd go with to help solve the issue.

Cones are in mine and it is more civil.

If you want obnoxious, use the X pipe.

So that's why your car sounded so mellow.

How much difference did the cones make?

I never had the resonator on without the cones.

If you go way back in the early threads, a lot of guys had the B&B's and there were pages of cone vs no cone.

The way I saw it, I knew I was putting the cats and the resonator on, so I was going with cones as they do kill some drone at the sacrifice of a few hp.

I also knew where about 20hp were going with swapping out the stuff but it was worth it.

I can still make it drone but it isn't bad (as you heard).

I hear you man, i am sufferin the same fate...I found my mufflers and resonator isnt wrapped with ss wool....

I have the catback with x-pipe. I can make it drone if I want by going into 6th too early. Have not tried to cones though.
