Just recently bought an 05 V and the nav screen is all scuffed up...it appears that there is a plastic cover over the actual display screen, as it moves slightly when I try to shift it (and the images on the display do not) Anyone have any suggestions for replacement or know where I could find some info? I think dismantling the Nav and replacing it with plexi-glass would work, but I'm looking for a little help here. Any input is appreciated. Thanks fellas |

If it is still under warranty bring it in. My nav screen appeared to be dirty under the cover and they replaced the whole radio for free. The actual screen is under the plastic cover, but it is all part of the radio.

I bought a 2005 and in daylight, you could see fine scratches all over the screen (apparently it had been cleaned and wiped off with a paper towel). I bought one of the better screen protectors off ebay and put it on. Can't see a single scratch now!

You can buy just the part............but James from Lindsey told me it's about $500.00 to replace. I took mine apart and it's basically a 1/8" peice of lexan with a coating on it for reflective purposes. If you find something, let me know as even though I don't have my factory NAV installed anymore, I'd like to fix this.

Has anyone found a a replacement or a solution for it. I could replace it with standard plexi or lexan, but what about the coating... No warranty here either. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
