I do admit it looks identical to the piece by piece method if ordering from GMpartsdirect. I'd have to see all of the part numbers to know for sure. Would be much cheaper than the $95+ I spent last month...

It's worked for me this long...9/10 a flat is just going to be a nail/screw...something easily fixable....for that 1/10 times that it's a blowout the plug kit is useless...the money I would've spent on a spare tire can now go towards a new tire....thats just the way I see it....

plus the weight you're saving with not having a tire/rim/jack kit back there, you're probably making up in gas mileage saved.... right?
OK so maybe that's a bit of a push but could you please tell me what plug kit you have?

Anything will work, I've got a cheapo plastic one....Downfall is, it's plastic and if the handle busts that steel rod is going right through your hand...so I recommend finding a metal kit, like this one

Obviously being an emergency kit, it won't see a lot of use, I've just heard horror stories of the shop I used to work at and am slightly paranoid...however I still use my 8$ plug kit from autozone when I need to.

This is the kit we used to have at the shop....worked great.
