GMB, be sure to fight it, or look into attending driving school, good luck. | I usually have a good attitude when I know I did something wrong
But when I'm heading to work and 100% positive I'm not speeding and I get stop for using my Flash To Pass feature of my Luxury vehicle. It's hard to maintain a good attitude
This dude was pissed off, because I was costing him and his crew 15 to 20 tickets. He was going to find a way to charge me with something.
I'm glad I had my snow tires still on the car, he would've fined me for not having them on, since it just snowed last week |

I forsee this when you go to court:
popo: "...and in conclusion your honor, during the stop, the defendant was uncooperative, beligerant and disrepectful."
Judge: "...guilty...double the fine...double the points for being an @ss..."
No matter what you think of the officer that pulls you over, always be respectfull, cooperative and understanding. Any other way leads to ruin.

At least its at home where you can fight it. Just be careful, a pissed off judge could easily turn this into a lose-lose situation, i.e., even if the flash to pass is thrown out, a repair order on the tint could cost way more. |

I got a look passing at a major intersection on the right this PM from a county officer. Next time pucker up and prepare to like it! |

I love my tint. I'm glad he didn't get crazy with a razor blade or something.
Had I not been stopped for headlights , the tint issue would've never happened. |

Your absolutely right, none of the folks who slowed down and avoided a ticket had a problem. |

To me, not claiming innocence right then and there shows guilt. |

What a f'in joke. How else am I supposed to get all of those cars with Ohiya plates out of MY (thats the left one for those wondering) lane?
Rumor also has it that the State Troopers and the Vehicle Enforcement Gestopo have a radar type device that can judge the distance between 2 vehicles and are now handing out tickets for following to closely (the other tried and true method for getting people out of my lane). |

Yup. | I won't argue about any of your statements made.
They are very true. Usually I don't have this type of interaction with the Law. Today I was totally pissed. Having passed by this sting operation the last couple of days going back and forth to blockbuster, it started out Mon being 1 car, which I quickly spotted. Tue it was 2, and today was just damn ridiculous! There's no need to set up a sting operation like that just because they're trying to meet a quota. Which is illegal.
He's the bastard becaue instead of remaining in hiding waiting for the driver who chose not to take heed to my warning, he chose to get me for warning others. Which to your point, I was taught, was a common courtesy in the South. Yes I could've stated that. But under the circumstances of me loosing precious minutes on my drive to work, I just to speak my mind.
The tint ticket was extra, but I don't mind it for reasons I stated before. However, had he not stopped me for something stupid, that wouldn't have been an issue.
Finally, I'm not in the business of Sucking the Law's dick everytime they stop me for something stupid. If I'm caught speeding, robbing a bank, shooting somebody, I'll show a little deferance but petty crap, I'm going to Stand.
If you don't stand for something, You'll fall for anything.
Tomorrow they'll have the whole damn force all shifts on the same stretch of highway. that's ridiculous! |

It is now officially "Protect and collect" so yeah the other thing is when you get a ticket you can plead court supeervision and Pay the extra money to get it taken off your record. SO basically your bribing the system not to tell on you to your insurence
The system sucks and the authorities have no-one to answer too. Ticks me off to no end

Yup. | Give me a break! Yeah, he knows that being a dick to cops never helps one's situation, but, you know what, maybe he lost it. And understandably so. He got stopped for flashing his lights!
Don't start with the, "Oh, well, you shouldn't have been breaking the law" and "I thought it was his duty to enforce the law" crap. Speed traps are also against the law, to which enforcers of the law are equally held accountable to. Why are they allowed to dismiss the law for their purposes? Hell, if they're gonna bend the rules to unlawfully ticket people, then I'm gonna bend the rules to help those people who are wrongfully done in. Albeit, I would not even have known it was against the law to flash lights in such a manner, whereas I am pretty damn sure they know that speed traps are illegal.
Just sayin ... Yeah, it's never wise to antagonize an officer - especially one that is more than willing to misuse his power as an officer to exacerbate your situation - but sometimes we snap, and for good reason. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
