2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V General DiscussionDiscuss everything about the first generation Cadillac CTS-V that does NOT fall into either the Performance or Appearance Modification category.
Cadillac Forums: BIG news for May 9th Summit Point V-day!!
3 into 60 = 20 x 2 laps each......hey, he's right!!! Everybody tip the driver and he just may keep pulling in the pits every couple.
PFFTT! I don't want to wallow around the track at over 5k lbs! 1 driver 1 passenger for me please.
I can just see the mags reviews:
"Well we saw the '09 v at the track...it was plowing like a tractor, and didn't look all that fast. We thought we saw 5 people in the car, but we know the general has but carboard cutout in the car before to throw us off. We'd MUCH rather have a 335i" :hurl:

Well Chris you know some magazines will say "It's not as good as the BMW M3". Maybe they should start testing all the cars with the BMW cloison (sp?) on the hood/trunk then reveal to the magazine testers it's a Cadillac, Audi, Mercedes, Pontiac, etc.
I've been a bit stunned how several mamgaziens have compared the new 2-door M3 (you knw the heavyone withthe V8) to the 4-door Audi S4/RS4, 4-door Mercedes AMG C class and have no quelms about saying the 2-door M3 was better. Pseudo yellow journalism.

Yeah, I was gonna say, at over 5,000 lbs, that'd be one heavy ass car.
Still think it'd hold its own. Though, of course, a solo jaunt would definitely allow it to better flex its muskals.
So, put me down for a solo ride, as well. Just me, though. No chauffer necessary. I don't need to be pampered. I'll show myself around. And if you see me creepin out the exit of the motorsports park, no worries. I'm just takin' it for a cruise on some public roads to have a gander at it's on-road manners. Don't cha know!
For those unlucky bastards able to swing a ride, this event may very well turn out to be a much more expensive proposition than initially intended.
