"I went to epp today to pick up my bmr rear suspension and they have a black cts v there puting a stroker motor w a maggie on it and i looked under it and it has a built rear end...93 vette diff w all supports and hd halfshafts....looks fkn sweet...."
That was Dougs traction kit. He made 2 one for Stkshkr and one for Florian. Flo sold his car VERY soon after having it installed, and I was at EPP yesterday and saw Stkshkr's car up on the lift with the other one. They were about 6k installed. Doug was also the guy making the Kars III kit.
I had one of Dougs Traction Rears....a great idea that worked like a charm. I paid some big $$s for it, but in the end I traded for a slushie STS-V. I sold my CTS-V as a result of more than just the rear problem. It has seen 4 owners since I sold it less than a year ago. That V was a problem, and even though I sank a bunch of dough into it, it became a burden I wasnt willing to deal with. The CTS-V as a moddable platform is limited (as if I have to tell you) due to the crappy rear end. Even with the modded rear, the noise was crazy, and the frame flexed with all the HP I was pouring at it.....just a poor platform IMHO. :rant2: :crybaby:
Noisy hot rod and I love it. Cam noise, exhaust noise, gear noise
