Believe me, I am still very very appreciative that they not only handled the Warranty claim at all, but did it very quickly to boot! So I don't want to come off as unappreciative in any way.

I am just trying to get to the bottom of the issue and make this my last diff....haa haaa

I doubt he'll tell you anything different, but just the same, ask for me please.

Mines got louder too. After getting word that my mechanic pasted, I just figured to deal with it until I move somewhere else that had a service dept. like Lindsay's

Nothing to do with that. We arent slave to sponsorship money. Lindsay/ewill/Luke are all big contributers to this community and have earned their praise for how well they treat all of us - not because they give whatever a month to the site.

Re: Best Dealership To Get Warranty Work???

We are a V friendly shop, who know the product better than most other dealers.
There are other vendor dealers here and I wouldn't say anything bad about any of them.
We just try to be a cut above the rest
We have a lot of loyal customers that come from as far away as... well I think some have come from over 1,000 miles away and been very happy with our service.
I can't promise anything, but we try to give all our customers the best customer service Cadillac will let us... sometimes a little better than they want us to!
It is pretty rare that James, Luke, and I can't make a customer happy.

I can't say thanks to these guys enough for supporting us. These are tough times in the automotive business and the only way we can make it is to make sure that we take care of our customers.

I am really looking forward to meeting all you guys at Track day (those that can make it).
I gotta make sure to clear the memory card on my digital camera! It will sure be a sight to see.

Re: Best Dealership To Get Warranty Work???

His was already back at Schepel by the time I left. They must have been done with it when I was leaving because They were driving it out to the lot!

Re: Best Dealership To Get Warranty Work???

Lindsay? They are very good, that is true. Just too far away.

As for my situation, we checked the diff fluid level and saw nothing. I drove it back to Schepel to get a new diff and they confirmed there was no diff fluid in there. A "plop" of black muck came out the drain hole into a container -- about 5 oz or so as far as I could see. They ordered a new diff and I get to inspect the fluid level before I drive away this week Thursday or Friday. Any insight on where the level should read? In the old days we used to fill them until the fluid just began to run out the fill hole and cap it off.

I drove 300+ miles to break in a diff with no fluid in it, except for 1 bottle of LSA! How about that?!?

For the record I am still patient, appreciative and hopeful Schepel will get this right this time. I am also very thankful of the online & offline input those at Lindsay are giving me through this issue as well. It still irritates me that I have to go to another dealer to get warranty work done when the local one(s) should do this automatically

Thanks again to all. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Best Dealership To Get Warranty Work???

The 2nd diff was installed today and I got to witness the "filling of the diff."

About 1.75 bottles of gear lube with 1 bottle of LSA and it's quiet as a mouse now!

I have about 60 miles on this newest one, driving carefully, and all seems well. I can actually hear my exhaust over the diff now! WOW!!

Thanks to everyone for your helpfull support and information.
