    Enough of Winter

    Hi Guys:

It was a gorgeous 74 degrees in St. Louis Sunday. Yesterday we received around 10 inches of snow. I've had enough for this Winter. I know it's nothing like you guys receive in the Northeast, Northcentral, etc. but man.

OH and if you are debating on runnning snow tires, I'd highly suggest it. I ran the snow tires that were on the V when I bought it last year without any issues. The all-season (compromise) tires were essentially useless in the snow. I'll stop whining now.

    Re: Enough of Winter

50+ deg here on Monday and Zaino'd my car.

5" of fluffy snow and 25 deg this morning ... this on top of the couple inches still left over from before.

All this global warming talk is 95% hype intended to perpetuate funding for university-based studies of climate change. Their agenda is a self-serving desire for money and to cripple market-based economies. No hungry child was fed with funds going to study gobal warming.* If there is warming, it is a trace amount, it's quite localized, is only partially attributable to man, and will be completely smothered by the next ice age in another thousand-or-so years.

    That's my $0.02.

Come down to South GA. I've been wiping pollen off my car for several weeks, the camelias are still doing their Winter bloom thing, the trees are budding out and my azaleas are already friggin blooming.

I put the snow tire package on in anticipation of heading North, drove around town three weeks and pulled them back off. I drove up to DC this past weekend and didn't bother putting them back on. Looks like I'll get out of town before the Winter slush hits again this weekend. Cool.

I actually like the snow, and the V is fine with winter tires on. We didn't get much this year, but when we did it melted in a couple days.

My UPS guy told me my Falkens are on the truck. Can't wait to see how the V looks, and feels with the new wheels/tires.

    Can't stand the White $h!t.
I Zaino'd in Dec. seems like it's going to have to hold until June before this winter lets up!
Good thing there's been a shortage of Salt and they're now putting down more sand.

Can't keep snow on the roads for more than an hour or two on the north coast. Finally got a chance to practice electronics off yaw slides and come to think it will be just a memory in a month or so.

So my wife and I are flying to Phoenix out of the Loo next Saturday, you think the weather will be nice enough to bring the vette down, or should I keep the snow tires on the V and bring it?

This winter has been much too long.

    Jay:

News just said there's more snow coming, but vague about when. I'd say stick with the V and snow tires.
