I just noticed my driver's seat is showing wear already! I've used the easy exit seat on my 08 CTS since purchased Dec 21, 07 and love the way my seat adjusts to my adjustment when I unlock my car. I noticed the other day though that my seat back was wearing some on the edge of the driver's seat. I realize now it's from getting in the car. I just didn't expect the seat to wear that quickly! I have 6,500 mi on the car and didn't think a car I paid $46,000 for would sow wear this early! Do you think GM will do anything? I've since stopped using the easy exit seat to stop more wear but it's a shame since I love the feature. I haven't gone to my dealer yet. Has anyone else had this problem?

Put this over in the 08 CTS forum. You will have better luck getting an answer. Unless one of our friendly dealers chimes in.

My insert is starting to "ball" up. It looks like the suede is getting pulled and making little knots in it. Sucks big time.

GM has replaced the seat covers in my car 3 times. They will definitely replace your seat covers if you find the right dealer.

Ted/others, I have a full set of tan seat covers front and rear. Can't guarantee condition is better than yours but I can send pictures and give you a detailed description. Just PM me.

Ted, I have good foam backing too. Better than I remember riding in yours.

It sucks that you guys are having so much trouble with your seat covers. Is there a specific color that is worse than others? I have 67K on mine black seats and they still look like new!

Luke is the parts guy at Lindsay Cadillac in VA. He gives pretty good discounts to forum members. Have you tried to take the stain out? What caused the stain?

No crap! I had no idea about the skins. I may call luke. I'm sittin on a complete set of seats in the basement. Kinda like spares. My interior is tan, but I want to change the carpet and seeats to black. My extra seats are black from cleveland pick part. Car outta warranty, so I gotta make due.

Just so you know, the skins are VERY expensive to do the whole thing. GMpartsdirect quotes $947 for the rear bench.

How much did you pay for the seats? I'm collecting here and there to do this far in the future. I got a brand new center console for 75 bucks and a rear deck cover for 20 bucks.

It depends on the seat condition. I have seen their prices on Ebay from Cleveland -pick-a-part ranging from moderate wear $499 - pretty clean $700. I got my black seats both fronts all motors and all rear benches for 700. Everything included just unbolted from the car. I missed an auction for black carpet for $99 on ebay. I only planned on changing the seats and carpet.

If I want a skin for the driver seat only.. what is that cost? for seat bottom or entire seat skin? My other seats are in great condition.
