Well...the great service experience ended with the motor mounts and the diff....service manager said that cracks in the leather are normal with 13,000 miles and they will get worse and then they will warranty them....I insisted that they fix the problem now...he said no...I called customer service...now we begin the claim process again...God bless Kendrick Cadillac....... |

They should be able to handle that.
You can't expect them to always eat the cost of parts, but they can probably spare a little labor for you.
Also, you want to dispell, their train of thought, that the seat cover replacement is only important to you if it's free.
Show them it's important to you by offering to pay some of it.
Just get it done while your car is there.
You can still ask customer service for a refund, of the parts cost, after the fact.
You only need 1 bottom cover right?

Driver side Bottom ant Top....and customer service said that they would like to monitor the vehicle for a couple weeks to see if it gets any worse and then they will warranty it....I would honestly not have any problem paying for the parts AND labor if GM didn't put out a bulliten that showed my seats EXACT condition and with no unclear words tells the dealer to replace the cover under warranty. I guess we will have to see what happens in a couple weeks |

Do you have a copy of it or a Bulletin#?
I did not know.
It's funny how most dealers get mad when you show them bulletins.
They act like you have no right to such privelaged information and dismiss bulletins as something they have no obligation perform.
So is your car sitting at the dealer now or did you get it back already? |

Bringing it back it 2 weeks is a blow-off.
Thanks for the bulletin, I'll PM you now. |

That bulliten seems like it could go either way, leaving it completely up to the Service Manager.. You may have to go to other (surrounding) dealerships until you find one that is willing to do it for you.. As noted, they don't cost that much (which is a surprise). www.GMPARTSDIRECT.com has the lowest prices. Good Luck. |

Good Luck. | Thats what I am thinking, I am worried however that if I bring it to another dealer and they say no as well they will put it in the book as a non-warrantable item and I wont even be able to bring it back to Kendrick in 2 weeks...... |

Please shoot me the bulletin as I am trying to get the seats replaced as well.
The cracking doesn't bother me but after the cracking the paint starts peeling off the seats and its horrible,
Worse thing is that my passenger seat is worse than the drivers seat and hardly anyone sits on it. |

GM will replace seat covers. Along with correcting MANY of the other mistakes that Kendrick Cadillac (Lafayette, Indiana) made on my car, Schepel Cadillac (Merilville, Indiana) replaced my driver side seat cover. No questions were asked, no accusations were made, no calls to Cadillac, just an AMAZING service experience. I will only be taking my V to Schepel for now on. |
