How come there is a trunk open notice but no hood open one? That one seems much more important IMO.

Just a couple of small complaints. The only other real one I have is the Rubbermaid dash, especially the center part but they have fixed that on the 09.

the headlamp suggestion is the only thing that bugs me....wish we could turn those off...

There is a schtick cliche that the English need to mock Americans. They just live up to that. For anyone that's familiar with Top Gear, they actually gave the CTS-V a glowing review...

Saw the review and it was good but he did stick the car were he could.

It will be interesting to see how the 09 fairs in his review.

Most of the time, most people will know when the temp drops. But all it takes is that one time you don't notice, especially in a rural area...

I think it's quite a thoughtful feature.

and I can tell you already what he will say....he will go over how much he loves it then say Buuuuuuuut its too heavy and bulky and then complain about the interior stiching or somthing stupid to complain about that is based on opinion instead of fact (somthing you cant put #s to) He will call the front end repulsive or somthing stupid like that and then say well were getting close to the last generation benz with this new one.. BTW he always ends the show with a negetive instead of putting the negatives and positives mixed throughout the show. Its like eating a great dinner and then taking a bite of dog crap after your done.......needless to say it wont be a dinner you enjoy or want to have again

And the show is riveting. So it works...

The only Top Gear I give 5 stars was the Interstate Challenge. Watching Clarkson and his jackhole buddies about to relive a scene from Deliverance in podunk Alabama or Mississippi was award winning television.

I was actually surprised at the backhanded compliments he gave the old f-body Camaro though.

Ya Clarkson really did like the V but in the same breath he said it was just "cheap" feeling. Ever see that guy drive? He's about as smooth and as skilled as a 16 year old "drivers ed" student trying to show off to his friends. He has a thing about American cars because the better ones don't cost $125,000. He forgets that more Americans have had access to the sportiest, quickest, and most fun to drive cars at an affordable price than any country on earth. In his mind speed and performance are for the elite (how many average Brits have 300 or 400 hp cars as daily drivers). So in Jeremy's mind if you don't have the price of admission (Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari etc) you are not to be taken seriously. What a knob!

yeah Jeremy Clarkson is a real idiot...

Since i've had the car (about 8 months now), i've had it 'bong' maybe a dozen times... and those times are all times i've done something stupid (i.e. get out of the car with the keys in the ignition still; get out of the car with the lights on, etc.)

i'm grateful for the bong!
also for the "ice warning" thing... there was one time i was driving from Austin to Houston... now if anyone knows Texas, you know that the temperature can drop 50 degrees in a day, and no one would think anything of it. I was driving to Houston, nice and comfortable in the climate controlled car, so when it warned me of ice, i opened the window, and realized the temperature really HAD dropped! i'm grateful for the warning
