Has anyone devised a way to successfully install a linelock in a V. My understanding is it can not be done successfully. I have been told by many that if you install one the proportioning valve will by pass, and your ABS will not work. Whats the deal? |

The linelock in my Impala became utterly useless after we installed the turbos.

The idea behind a line lock is to heat the rear tires(usually slicks) without burning up the rear brake pads. Once you stage the car, your use the brakes(if you have an automatic trans) to hold the car while you build boost. Since V's are all manual trans' the line lock would work as intended.
I know where this is gonna go............................. |

You mean to tell me you've never flat spotted your fronts doing a burnout before?
Still won't hold 15 PSI boost into the 383 at the line. The guys that work the line at my home track bet on how long I can hold it at the line before the rears start spinning while I'm waiting for my stupid light. |
