    QuestionSCCA Classification for CTS/V?

Hello group. Looks like I'll get a chance to do some auto-xing in the V at a local event a few weeks from now.

Being that I haven't done this in forever (8 years ago in a Fiero GT) and that was the only time before I don't know that much about the classification system.

Does anyone here know what class the V is in?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill

As per the June 2004 Fastrack Newsletter, the CTS-V is classified as A.S.

    StealthV -

Looks like I have my work cut out, should that be the classification/competitors. There are plenty of those cars around here and I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them there.

Well, it is just for fun, I'll do my darnedest!

    Thanks again.

If the course is tight and small like the one I ran a few years back, those Evo's and STi's will be the cars to beat. At the event I attended, we had some serious cars like prepped 911's, a ZR-1, etc. and a bone-stock Neon with some sticky Kumho tires set fast time of the day.

I'll take some video and post here just for kicks. Should be fun, get a chance to wring out the V without taking out anyone else.

A good client of mine will be going too, she has a fun little VW R32...sticks in the corners pretty darn good the way it comes from VW. She's probably not as aggressive as I am - so we might have to switch cars over the weekend and see how they both do with different drivers at the helm.

I guess one of the local guys to beat is in fact an Evo. He has two, one bone stock and one highly modified...we'll see.
