The BMW's are nice - get the twin turbo - but you pick up too much weight going bigger than a 3-series. The Audi's are georgeous but the RS is soo overpriced - one bad car. Not a Benz fan here - (been there done that). I'm more impressed all the time with my CTS 3.2 - it's such a great handling car. I actually briefly considered the Grand Prix GXP V8 (underpowered) before I bought the V - love the GXP paddle shifters. The GTO is too heavy and only two doors... the G8 is underpowered (why?) although it will have a manual transmission available by fall 08.
decisions decisions... do you have a 30 day window to purchase so that your insurance company will pick up the tab on the taxes? |

The best thing - Zero wheel hop. | It is a nice looking car Rick. So do you have a set of CCW's to get rid of?
If you have to go away from the V I wsould say this is a great choice. Just becuase your in a Non-V this is no excuse to go with the 22's and the Lambo doors
BTW, That is one cute little super charger.
I think I call it MINI ME. MOHAHAHAHA...

Turns out when the RPO codes of the '08 CTS I wanted got entered into the system this week the order kicked out - Cadillac won't build a '08 CTS with the Performance Package (big brakes, coolers, etc.) with a pop-tart nav systemTM and no UltraView sunroof.
Cadillac lost a customer because their marketing intern created option compatibility is stupid.

Curious to your honest opinion between the 08 CTS and the Ultimate Driving Machine.

Panel gaps, the interior, ride, handling, looks, etc. are all top notch. After driving the new CTS, I don't think I could ever go back to a first gen V - It has become instantly outdated to me.
The CTS is by far the better bang for the buck being $15k less for the nearly identically spec'd and equipped Bimmer. Is the Bimmer worth the premium? If you can live with GM's option structuring, absolutely not.
The question I asked my Caddy dealer that I'd love to know the answer - Will I be able to order a '09 V loaded except for the UltraView roof? |

I'm looking at the Schedules now and I do see what your saying.
Is there a way to build the perfomance package w/o getting the package?

Apparently Cadillac assumes that if you want the performance package (like it is some dedicated race track machine or something), you don't want nav.
You're the GM guy...I'll order one tomorrow and since it will be custom built, have them toss in a L92 engine with a 6-speed stick and AWD. |

Only if our quality hadn't skyrocketed to the World Class levels as they are, you probably could've on accident had an regular roof, Jack in the Box Nav, and a PTR L92.
