There will be a stick AWD V in my garage when it is available (WW will have one too). Until then, slushbox is the only thing available on a '08 CTS4.
For the V replacement, AWD + Slushbox > RWD + stick. |

If you can't wait till the '09 V, then I have to second Chef... make a visit to your Audi dealer. They are awesome in your part of the country. Actually, in any part of the country.
I love my V, but it stays home most of the winter, and that sucks.
As for slushboxes, well they are not so hot in your part of the country. Actually, in any part of the country.
Good luck!

And used? That's not for me; someone has to buy the new ones and take the depreciation hits. Just doing my part.
Right now it is between a new '08 CST4 or 535xi. Is the Bimmer worth $15k more than a Caddy? Will have to do some more research on residual values and the included maintenance plan on the 535 to see if the Ultimate Driving Machine is worth it. A new CTS4 with supplier discount for $10-20k less than a Teutonic machine catches my attention.
With the Caddy, one just has to put up with dealers that are used to catering to people that finance $5k cars for six years. From the dealer experience alone, BMW is orders of magnitude ahead of Cadillac in my market. Can one quantify the brand experience with a dollar value? Cadillac is closing the gap on product; the dealer network is still lacking.
It's not how many golf bags, it's - How many hockey sticks fit in the trunk?

The order is in; now it is a waiting game.
Test drove a CTS4 DI yesterday - Wonderful car, very refined and V like except for the mushier suspension tuning, softer brakes and 50% less power. Guess those things pretty much make a V eh? |

Ordered the polished wheels for $700 - Wish it (and the V2) had 6-bolt hubs so I could bolt up the CCWs.
The best thing - Zero wheel hop. |
