That's a tough one to answer, as "who knows" what the next 9 months will bring in terms of resale values.
On one hand, I suspect that the 2009 CTS-V might revitalize interest in the V-Series (with all the magazine covers and Internet buzz just around the corner), so it's quite possible that it may lose very little value at all between now and then.
On the other hand though (and I'm just being realistic here), it may drop in value even more if STS-V sales are sluggish and there's a lot of them out there.
Impossible to say, really. It is a heck of a nice car, and supposedly pretty tuneable from what I hear.
btw if you have any fun parts on your wrecked v let me know I just got mine and would love some hand me downs
