| | Cadillac Owners Fanatic | | | | | Any feedback on Lindsay body shop? After being hit by a drunk driver last week I need some work done on both ends of the V. Im looking to take it to Lindsay so I can get some other warranty work done all at the same time, but just wanted to see if anyone has used them prior. Plus I figured dealing with good guys like them it will make the whole process a little easier. |

Look very closely with a light across each panel. Unfortunately I had body work done 2 separate times and had to take it back 3 times to get the paint right. Black is always a PITA that shows every imperfection. |

I had them put on a new front bumper skirt, after the great lawn gnome incident. No issues at all. Paoint looks great. No chipping issues or anything.
This was not really a difficult job though, so YMMV.

| | Cadillac Owners Connoisseur | | | | | Re: Any feedback on Lindsay body shop? Richard took great care of me, too. Usually when one of my"nice" cars needs body work, I fix and sell since I can ALWAYS find the imperfections, blends, etc.
In this case, they replaced a fender and front facsia, and had a guy come in and replace my clear bra.
Absolutely top notch work. I can still spot the slight difference in paint....but nobody else can. My car is Platinum, which has it's own set of paint and blend issues... |

The damage to my car was 13K after everything was found and repaired it came out to 15K. Close to your estimate. Anyhow the above link is some of what happened to me at Lindsay Collision Center. Sadly there is much more to the story. Since the last post I did get a wheel but not a CTS-V wheel. I chose a STS-V wheel and sold it. I used the money to buy a used spare.
After almost all the repairs were complete my nav/stereo was damaged from the accident they ordered it and I decided to have a look at the car. There were obvious faults that I saw things that could be fixed, but still should not have been overlooked. I looked inside and found a hole in the seat bolster(screwdriver?) and one in the same area on the pass. seat there was no damage to the inside of the car I just wanted to sit in my V since it had been 4 months December '06 to April '07.
I missed many things when I went to see the car at that time Some of what happened to me I after received the car was clear coat runs in many areas, overspray, poor paint job. I returned to have areas of the car repaired numerous timesand for the grand finale they ruined the entire paint job of the car with the expert detailer on premises by the swirl marks. I had the badges removed when it was being repaired and it looks like they used a screwdriver to remove the CTS symbol although the V-side looked ok. That's my nightmare and I won't go back or recommend that shop to anyone.
Well now you know who fixed my car from the previous post.
And just to be clear Lindsay Collision Center and Lindsay the dealership are two separate sections and sadly the body shop didn't provide the service that the dealership does.
Other's had a good experience but this was mine. I recommend Precision Collision in Newington. Good luck. |

I want to preface this post by saying that I have the nothing but respect for the boys at the Lindsay dealership - they are awesome, every time I go there the work they perform is perfect - Luke, James, and Bill are the only people who will ever touch my car.
Lindsay collision however, leaves much to be desired. I was hit by some dumbass woman after leaving the Lindsay dealership (had kooks installed). They did a great job with the structural stuff - everything lines up great, car feels great, but unfortunately it looks like crap. I can’t quite explain what they did to the paint, but it appears that someone was overly aggressive with a random orbital. If I look at my car from the front, I can see circular swirls (big fat swirls) in the paint. If I then move to the left or right, those swirls disappear and new ones appear! This happens all over the car (not just the part that they repaired). I took my car back, and they promised they would fix it with a "Black pad" -the car sat there for two weeks and they never addressed the paint problem (in their defense, they did address the sunroof which stopped working after the wreck, as well as the passenger side window). I picked up the car, frustrated that the paint was still ruined but happy that the electrical issues were fixed. I told the service manager that I intended to hire a professional and bill Lindsay collision for the price. That’s where I am right now, I have found someone who operates a mobile service and is highly recommended, but every time we have made an appointment it has snowed, or the temps dipped below freezing.
It sucks man. People used to compliment me on my car all the time, now all they ask is what’s wrong with the paint. Sadly I would recommend a different repair shop, but again - don’t let this reflect on Lindsay service - those guys are awesome and very highly recommended. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
