    New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS!

As if the 400-horsepower CTS-V Series isn't enough, we photographed General Motors' Performance Division engineers testing an even higher performance version.

Referred to as the CTS-V Series Plus by spectators at the Nürburgring, this CTS mule is said to be powered by a 6.0-liter V-8, and sources are estimating the horsepower to be in the 475-500 range. General Motors is aggressively testing this more powerful CTS, but production plans have not yet been confirmed. The vehicle show here is actually an older CTS-V mule. The higher-performance CTS-V Plus uses a larger-displacement pushrod small-block engine, so the hood hump should disappear in production.

Nah, the V forum is separate now and my bookmark still takes me to the CTS or I wouldn't have seen it there. The regular CTS crowd probably could care less about the V+ eh?

Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS!

I'm not really up to date on these things, but my understanding was:

    Current:
    LS1: 350hp
    LS6: 400-405hp

    Future:
    LS2: 6.0 liter 400hp+
    LS7: >6.0 liter 500hp

I thought the Blue Devil was a "small likelyhood of production" high-end Corvette with massive power.

Last note is that if they are testing the V with more power, I couldn't be happier. The power level for high-end performance sedans is now 470-500hp if not more.

I don't care how much my 2004 CTS-V would depreciate..........I want one of those.

I'm getting wood just thinking about it.

If these spy photos are from the Nürburgring, why does the V+ have a Michigan license plate?
