2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V General Discussion Discussion, New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! in Cadillac CTS-V Series Forum - 2004 - 2007; ...
New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! As if the 400-horsepower CTS-V Series isn't enough, we photographed General Motors' Performance Division engineers testing an even higher performance version.
Referred to as the CTS-V Series Plus by spectators at the Nürburgring, this CTS mule is said to be powered by a 6.0-liter V-8, and sources are estimating the horsepower to be in the 475-500 range. General Motors is aggressively testing this more powerful CTS, but production plans have not yet been confirmed. The vehicle show here is actually an older CTS-V mule. The higher-performance CTS-V Plus uses a larger-displacement pushrod small-block engine, so the hood hump should disappear in production.
Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! The car that will make you forget CTS-v Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! Nice find!
Is this the LS2 motor? Re: The car that will make you forget CTS-v The LS7 6.0L engine finds another home besides the blue devil. Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! LS7, 3 valve per cylinder... Re: The car that will make you forget CTS-v LS7 is for blue devil ? i though that was stock for vette and a 8.0 was for blue devil ?
someone bring me up to speed here , been out of the vette loop for a month (stpid final exams) Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! whoops , did i do a duplicate post ? Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! Nah, the V forum is separate now and my bookmark still takes me to the CTS or I wouldn't have seen it there. The regular CTS crowd probably could care less about the V+ eh? Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! Both threads have been merged into this one... Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! good , i dont think i can delete a thread after a reply , this is a beatter spot
anyone got ideas on the ls7 and blue devil . autoweek claimed the devil was packing a 8.0 ...... Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! I'm not really up to date on these things, but my understanding was:
LS2: 6.0 liter 400hp+
LS7: >6.0 liter 500hp
I thought the Blue Devil was a "small likelyhood of production" high-end Corvette with massive power.
Last note is that if they are testing the V with more power, I couldn't be happier. The power level for high-end performance sedans is now 470-500hp if not more. Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! I don't care how much my 2004 CTS-V would depreciate..........I want one of those.
I'm getting wood just thinking about it. Re: New CTS-V Plus 475HP PICS! If these spy photos are from the Nürburgring, why does the V+ have a Michigan license plate?
