I am gonna have the shop basically tear down the header install and check the seals. I have become suspicious of both the flanges and the collectors. I am going to go ahead and order some gaskets to swap in before the car is up on the lift. Does anyone have anything good to say about any of these companies? I know that Percy's and Mr. Gasket are somewhat popular, but which type of gasket are people running? I am assuming that the Percy's dead soft header gaskets are probably the way to go.
I am going to order them from Jegs, the full gasket page is below.. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10259_-1_10245
Any input, suggestions, jargon, or malarcky is welcome.

I tried both and now I have the carbon fibre one installed.

Any reason behind that? i am really just concerned with getting a proper seal. I am NA so the operating temps. would be pretty minimal. |

Percy's 66032 - Percy's ''Dead Soft'' Header Gaskets
Just make sure to Retorque after a couple of heat cycles no matter which one you go with.

Expensive for Studs but well worth it, they work great!
ARP stainless steel exhaust header studs were used, part number 434-1301. |

The regular bolt only costs a fraction of the price. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
