I've used these before and they're very good. But right now I'm running the Toyo R888s at the track.

If that event at VIR happens this spring, what tire from this group would you guys recommend? I'm new to the road racing. I'm a drag racer that realized that a straight 1/4 mile doesn't even come close to the fun of road racing.

If "that event" is the Lindsay Cadillac/MVP Tracktime, it's going to be at Summit Point. The tires above are excellent track tires with a good amount of life. And for $150 per, they're awesome. Do a search on track tires. There's a lot of good stuff.

These should fit on my 18x 8 Mille Miglias, right?

Yes. They're the same size as the Hoosiers you had before.

I'd start with street tires, then move to race rubber. It will be a bit before 'driver mod' surpases the adheasion of some nice steet tires.

So other than the grooves on the R6, what other differences are there on these cup tires?

Good question. I would ASSume, that the compound may be a bit softer on these.

    Bump

Mine came last night. Here are a couple pics of the Hoosiers and the Invos.

Re: Don't want to spend a lot on race slicks?

I thought the Radial Cup Tires didn't have any grooves. The ones you have pictured look like they got four grooves. And what's the width on those INVOs? They look narrow as hell next to the 245 Hoosiers. They're not for the V are they? Look like they're 195s.
