Agreed, crest is sharp, but I would prefer the V logo.

I really like the way it looks but I was wondering if you were planning to make this all plastic or was the top silver part going to be metal? (Just curious)

More then ever, I am in for 2. When you are ready for deposits or payments, I'm in.

So let me know what you guys think.

I was thinking soft touch plastic on the black part, and probably some gloss plastic for the silver part (or that may be soft touch plastic too) I think metal would be too costly. But I will check on that too.

Getting bigger and smaller is not something I am really familiar with anymore Tony.

    Re: New keyless Entry remotes?

My only concern is if it's made from plastic the top may break at the sharp corners. If you decide to go all plastic then I would like to see it a bit thicker at the top where it connects to the key chain.

I still want to stress I really like the design and I am in no way try to butcher your design.

That's cool. Like I said, that is a very rough concept. That only took me a couple hours. If my China source sounds positive, then I will invest more time in the design. I am not going to put a lot of time into it though until I know if it is feasible.

I just wanted to point out that metal on the case could reduce the RF performance of the internal antenna.
I think plastic is the way to go.

I don't know about you guys, but 'less RF performance' is definitely not what I need. This car is the worst I've had at picking up keyfob signals. I almost have to walk right up next to the car before it'll take an unlock signal. Any further reduction in RF performance might mean that all the doors will already have to be open for an unlock signal to penetrate.

    Yes, I said 'penetrate.'

Good point on the RF signal, do not want to make it worse.

I dont think my little project is going to happen. I am looking at a minimum of 5000 pcs plus tooling costs. That is more than I can afford. Plus I dont see demand for 5000 pcs.

That would only be 2500 pairs.
I bet you could pre-sell that, just on these boards.
    (Discuss with Urb).

Combined with some other boards like Solstice/Sky, Corvette, GTO, SUV etc it sould be easy to hit the 1st order requirement.
