Well I will try your recommended fluid change out at 500 miles. Took my V to the dealer today and they are replacing my rear differential with the latest part #15793756. Said the pinion bearing was worn and "set in the case too far back". Whatever the reason, it was whining and I doubt if frequent fluid changes would have made any difference. However, I'm not taking any chances with the new one and I will change the fluid myself after break-in and probably at least once thereafter.
