I asked for a vin check about a week ago from you guys and although Im not a donating member (not yet) you did it for me, big thanks. Well Im still stuck here in Iraq but I found the V that I want and Im going to have the wife go pick it up next week as long as the VIN checks good. Its a 05 Blk/Blk with 10K miles on it, can you believe that! Anyway once again I want to say thanks for supporting us troops over here, it makes you feel good to know that fellow Americans are proud!

Can someone tell me what this is all about? Other then that it looks like this guy did not put up with anything being wrong with this car, and it looks like the dealer like him!

There's a common issue on these cars with the oil temp reading higher than it actually is, and the fix involves installing new software in the PCM.

We were recently notified that there's been a rash of these complaints lately as the temperatures rise outside, so that's probably it. No biggie.

Why not get someone on the forum here to put their hands on the car before your wife buys it. It is probably perfect, but it does not hurt to see if it had any body work. OR tell your wife to run her fingers down the edge of each body panel (doors, hood, trunk). If rough, that section has been repainted.

Check out tires too.

Keep watching ebay for a real wheel for a spare. It will fit down inside the well, but it sticks up about half of an inch. Should be able to find one for perhaps $150 with a good tire. Many are advertised for $300--too much. Actually, with any luck, maybe a forum member will sell you one cheap when you are ready for the extra rim.

Thanks for doing what you are doing for all of us.

We really appreciate it.

Well you talk about a leap of faith here. The only pic that I have seen of the car is the one that was used to advertise it. No other pics, but the car has a clean carfax, the service on the vin came back good, he says he just put on new Michelin Pilots and the car only has 11K miles. So having said all that Im thinking the car is in good shape and I will be happy with it. Not only that I just bought Staxxin's complete exhaust from him, so now I will have a V with boxes of mods waiting for my return home!
