Talking New LS2 Fuel Rail cover

Remove this ad
Time for me to go under the knife.

I finally eliminated the bar of soap that was on top of my engine.

I have installed a Pair of LS2 Fuel Rail covers but they didn't just snap on. A Dremel is a wonderful thing, I was able to modify the plastic and it looked pretty good when finished and I haven't even cleaned up the edges yet.

Passenger Side cover:
1- Had to remove the back corner on the intake side to clear tube

Driver Side Cover:
1- Had to remove same corner for same reason
2- Had to remove front corner to clear the Power Steering Res.
3- Had to remove some plastic on the inside to clear some other tubing

I might do later:
1- Paint to Match car
2- Remove the "Corvette" and add "Cadillac"
3- ???

I am going to leave the covers alone for now. I may decide to just leave them as is if they grow on me.

See Atttached.

Re: New LS2 Fuel Rail cover

According to the ebay description these are for a 05 06 corvette but since they have the same LS2 I decided to try them. I searched for "LS2 Fuel rail covers" to find them on ebay and bought them from a seller named vispeedinc. His price was the best I could find at $99.95, shipping was a little slow, but the covers are brand new and the quality seems to be good (time will tell).

If you have troubles finding them go to item "170010998614", this is the auction I won.

Please remember these are for a Corvette C6 LS2 but with some minor modifications they will fit your V.

Re: New LS2 Fuel Rail cover

Looks good. In the future you may want to check out Lindsey Cadillac. They are a forum member and probably would have saved you a couple of bucks if you purchased the fuel rail covers from them.

I have the same ones (bought from Lindsey) and picked up a Dremel yesterday. I will be under the hood this weekend.

One idea I saw in a thread was using the sill plate for a SRX to cover up the "Corvette". He had a picture of it (I think it was CTSVFLA) and looked great.

LMAO....bar of soap............still LMAO

Re: New LS2 Fuel Rail cover

Just started buying from Lindsey and happy with the Dealership (They are #1!). I have Kooks Headers, UUC Bushings, and a shifter on order from Lindsey now. I don't know what he would have charged me but your probably right they may have been cheaper.

Good idea on the SRX plates I will be looking into them. I will probably buy them from Lindsey!

Hey now- no giving Brian credit for my idea! That's the one mod I came up with before him (the rest I "borrowed" after seeing them on his car).

Do I get partial credit for being in the central Fl area? I recalled reading the thread and did not double check source of reference

I enjoy observing The Tony Show, daily on the forum. I really like YOUR idea and imitation is the best flattery. Therefore, I will be ordering SRX sill plates for mine.

I will post pixs when I get r' done.

Thanks for the compliments.

If you don't mind I will probbaly do a couple of other mod's you have on yours as well. I like the V emblem on the Strut tower brace better then the LS2 Logo and were did you find the Carbon Fiber Cover for the intake that is just too cool!

BTW, Just placed an order for the Lighter GM rims. I can't stop with the mods!

Does having these fuel rail covers seem to cool the engine compartment at all? Cuz mine seems soooooooooo damn hot with that big factory cover, I considered painting the factory one to match but if going with fuel rail covers cools things I am definetly going that way......anyone else notice this?
