Talking Reardiff/ Tranny service

Remove this ad
How you doing i posted this on the cts forums ,but maybe you guys can help me out .
I saw on cadillac FAQ about tranny service ,and rear diff service.

My question is will it be the same process for a cts non-V?

Will there be more , or less fluids being use ,and is the procedure the same? I know our cts fluid cap in the tranny is 9.5 qts. or am i wrong ?
Any info will be helpful, want to change all my fluids in the cars , and upgrade to either royal purple or mobil one in my diff, and tranny. Thanks

Re: Reardiff/ Tranny service

Hi, as far as the capacities go your owners manual should say how much fluid is required. The bottom line is you usually fill it untill it just starts to run out the fill hole. Another issue is do you have a LS?, that would require the friction modifier. Also, I assume you have a manual transmission, changing the fluid in a sluch box is a completely different animal.
