Wohooo! I got it to work.
When I tried it the thing failed but the interesting part is the Pocket PC said the Receiving unit was "Xanavi informatics" I searched for this on the web and it turns out it's a Japanese company. This might explain the dumb U turn instruction.
Must write address in the "contacts" in the Pocket PC
You don't need to enter all of the information, only needs
- Name of contact (Can be one character)
- Street address - required
- City, State, Zip Code, Country, - Optional
Here's were it gets a little screwy
From the Navigation press the "Receive" button
From the Pocket PC, open the contact you want to send then click on "beam contact".
Hold the Pocket PC about 2 inches from the IR port maximum and wait until it fails.
You should see
"Xanavi informatics Failed"
Next click on "Receive" again and hold the pockect PC close to the IR port again You will now see,
"Xanavi informatics Failed"
"Xanavi informatics Tap to send"
Tap "tap to send" and it should you should see
"Xanavi informatics Failed"
"Xanavi informatics Sending 1/1"
Contact (address) is now downloaded. Follow the screen prompts to map the address.
I have tried this at least 10 times and it does work. Funny part is it always fails the first time and when you "tap to send" it works properly.
Also, You must have the address configured exact. One problem I encountered was I had a period at the end of ave "ave." and it did not recognize the address. this is a bit dumb, should ignore this character.
Bottom line is it works! This sure is much easier then entering the address using the knob.
