Broke a dash clip

So I was trying on my own to eradicate some instrument panel rattles so I began to dismember the dash. I started taking off the cover that is under the wheel, unscrewed the screws etc and pulled it... and now I cannot put that piece back on, the top right isn't latching, is there a special way to do this? And by the way... how does one get behind the instrument panel

Re: Broke a dash clip

I have a NASTY rattle that appears intermittenly right behind the instrument panel to the left. I wish I could fix that damn rattle. Let me know if you find anything clanking around back there that may be an easy fix.

Yup that is where mine is. The goddamn dealer 'can't find it' I believe it is just a wire that is slapping. Whoever did the wiring in these cars probably dropped out of kindergarten.

Re: Broke a dash clip

I have the same sort of rattle behind my gauge cluster. Has anyone found a solution to this? Am I better off living with it or trying to get my dealer to reproduce and investigate?

haaha... they get a bit unbearable after 45min or so... although the looks on peoples faces at a stoplight are always priceless

talkin about rattles, how do i get rid of the rattle that seems to come from the pillar between the front and rear doors... rattles like a biatch when i go over some small bumps down my street at 15mph
