They got used up like a "nice" girl at the prom. After only 10,000 miles I needed to get new ones. So I ordered and received some Michelin PS2s and gave a call to the dealer where I bought the V. Explained that I thought that 10K miles on a set of tires was just a little less than exceptable and asked if they could show a little "team Caddy spirit". Well to my suprise and astoundment...they mounted and balanced the set for FREE!!! Mind you I didn't buy the tires from them and they didn't have to give me any kind of break on the price for mounting and balancing the tires...they did it for free.
These guys did me right today. I wish all dealerships would show this kind of dedication to customer service to Caddy owners. These guys ROCK. http://www.lloydautomotive.com/ |

I then drove for about 15,000 miles on Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires. With about 60% tread left, I went back to a used set of F1 Supercars. That stage is nearly done. I've got an auto-x tomorrow. And I'll pretty much be burning the rest of the F1s up.
Next week, it'll be time to call the Tire Rack for those PS2s. I'll get some vid of the auto-x...

**Thread hijack** Would you mind taking a look at this for me? http://www.wiredmotorsports.com/pitl/pitl-info.html That's the info for the event. I'm not doing the series, only planning to do the one event tomorrow. Do I need to find out the class of my car and all that? And all I need to do is pay the $30, right? I already emailed the coordinators, but they haven't gotten back to me. Sorry to trouble ya, but I was hoping maybe your experience would help. |

If you racing the entire eries, they'd want more to give you numbers, etc...
As for class, they will take care of that when you get there. Just make a list of your modifications. They'll calculate and give you final classifications when you sign in. |

Two years ago a GM dealership installed a new rear end on a 2000 Trans AM with 50,000 miles on it. I offered to split the cost. Dealer took $300 from me. Total cost was over $2000, plus a bunch of burgers, fries, and a few half gallons of Blue Bell. It's a two way street, man. |

The same dealer fixed it for a cool $1,000 but would not cut me any slack as the vehicle was out of warranty 45 days. Wrote a letter to Cadillac Corporate and they stood up for a nice 60% of the bill. That's why I own a Caddy today. Love the "V" |

No, not there. | | | Re: Tires with a "Happy Ending" Cadillac has recently empowered Dealers to act as decision makers when dealing with "out the ordinary" service issues such as the ones mentioned here, as well as cars that just recently left Warranty. Businessweek magazine recently named Cadillac #3 in the world for customer service, and #1 Auto company.
(Read the article HERE)
We used to have to run all this stuff by the Zone Manager, but they've given a lot of slack lately which has helped us give the Customer better service. I'm a huge fan of the change, and hope that Dealers around the country take advantage of it to create good will like we're seeing in this thread.
