I don't think we've ever done this, a group purchase for the Magnuson Superchargers! We're running a GP that covers all of the kits that they produce. 5 or more orders are required by Thursday, May 10th for this to go through. We'll order the first batch early if we get to 10 so it will definately be good to place your orders early. We have minimum advertised pricing (MAP) guidelines that we have to follow so we can not put these prices in writing but you can receive a quote by giving us a call at 1-877-482-9763.
"Fine print" for this can be seen in the Group Purchase section of our website.
Have a great day! |

Do they have one that will fit the 2007 with C.A.R.B. numbers? Being from CA I want to make sure I don't need to take it off when I need to get it smogged.
Also want to make sure the existing 90MM Throttle body fits onto the super charger.
Thank you for your help,
Rob

Do you know if they plan to release one for the LS2? It seems like this would be easy for them to do since they already have one for the LS1.
Thank you for the reply.

I would just like to have the C.A.R.B. numbers but if they aren't there it wouldn't stop me from installing one. If you had the choice of a Maggie with OE numbers or paying off the inspector which would you choose? Not sure how you think you will be able to cheat, the blower is pretty obvious and I would like to think you wouldn't want to through your money away (Payoff)...
A regular smog is fairly is to "cheat" but if you have to do the Treadmill test it's a little more difficult to find someone to take care of it for you and it may cost a bit if you could find someone. The treadmill test is random so it is possible that this may not happen however it is possible that it could.
I like the car and I plan to keep it longer then 2011, there is a good chance I will still have it by the time smogging is required. Is it possible you may be dead by then and this why you don't care??
I don't like the california rules when it comes to cars but you can't beat the weather so with the good comes the bad!
That's my rant and I'm done.
I am more likely not to do the upgrade because of the glass rear end. Would probably either grenade it first so I could join the blown rear end club or upgrade it first to bypass the pain. Either way will take a hit to the bank account.
My biggest concern at the moment is will it fit the engine which I think the answer to that is no at the moment. |

You do have a minimum of 5 years on the smog cert (new car).
The CARB I found on the website only applies to the LS6 model ( http://www.magnacharger.com/pdf/D-488-5.pdf).

We already have 2 orders in! We've had people e-mailing for a price quote. Remember, you have to call to receive the GP price. Regular retail prices will be provided through e-mail. |

I went to my dealer to get my deposit back, and he assured me that the maggie I ordered was for the LS2. According to him, the maggie distributor for this area has done an install on an LS2 already.
Service manager said the only difference from their end was that they could do the computer work on the LS6, but have to send it away for the LS2. |

I realise some people don't care about this at all but for some of us in california may consider it important.
I talked with someone at Mangneson and they do have C.A.R.B. numbers on the 2006 LS2 however you must use their tune to get the C.A.R.B. number.
The good news is the 2006 kit will fit onto the 07 but since they have not tuned one of these yet they will not advertise the 2007 kit. When they do the 2007 kit I was told they will do the C.A.R.B. certification.
The other option is to buy the 2006 kit and deal with getting it smogged. but as everone on this site is quuick to point out, at least you won't need to deal with it for at least 5 years from the initial date of purchase. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
