When I first got my car, I thought about painting the calipers but wanted to keep some sort of 'V' on them. I figured I might put V emblems (like on the sides and rear of the car) on the calipers. (I STILL think that'd look good. ) Turned out, not only wouldn't they fit BUT then I realized the'd probably get too hot and either fall off or melt.

Talk to Caleigh at 8th Day Creations, one of the supporting venders (she also makes the CTS/V eyelids). She has a hi-temp vinyl V logo that you can put on there. I am going to paint my calipers red, put the decal on there, and then clear over the top. It is hard to find a clear brake caliper paint, but I found this one: http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/sfI...4/productID/48
Good luck!! Once I have mine done, I will post up some pics, but it may be a while. Somebody else will probably beat me to it! |

I also measured the decals that are currently on there and decided to go a little bit larger with the new ones. The dimensions I plan on using are:
4" x 1" in front
3" by 3/4" in back
Hope this helps a little bit. |

Now I'm not a registered vendor yet, and am no way am I trying to overstep my boundaries, but if you're having trouble getting these, let me know...I can make'em for you. I'm painting my calipers to match my V (Redline baby!) and am debating on whether to throw the V logo back on, or a Brembo logo...leaning towards the latter. Anyhow, good luck with your project!

I sent you a pm on the brushed aluminum ones that come in different sizes. Very thin also, so they're not a problem going on.

Have you found some paint that matches the Redline? |

I am just waiting for my new wheels to get here this week. I will be tearing off the old wheels, and taking on this project of painting the calipers red with the light silver V logo and painting the rotor hats silver as well.
Of course I will post pics when I get done. Can't miss an opportunity to brag about and show off my work! |

My car won't be out of the shop 'til the begining of May...some of you may remember that 3 days after I picked up the V, someone rearended me. Just cosmetic damage, but it's been sitting, waiting for the front and rear bumpers, and grille for 3 weeks now! Anyhow, I'm making the decals (that's what I do) and having the body shop paint the calipers to match. I will post pics as soon as it gets out! By the way, I signed up to be an authorized vendor, but have yet to recieve a confirmation email. I'll post more about my business (i.e. details/pricing) when I'm given the go ahead from the mods! Thanks!

P.S. Got your PM LV V, but unable to respond to those just yet...I'll give you pricing costs as soon as I can. Thanks for being patient! |

He makes decals for the calipers of a lot of different makes, although the CTS-V is not one of them. But he did send me an example of what he could do. In this pic the red would be the color of the caliper and the decal is white. Looks like he has about 25 colors to choose from. However he does not know what size to make them. He is open to suggestions.
FWIW as another option.. if you want to contact him. I'm a still some months away from painting my calipers and don't feel like pulling a wheel right now to give him the dimensions. His prices look pretty reasonable.

I'm a believer in letting my work speak for itself. LV V, you get to be the spokesperson! PM me, let me know what color you want and I'll shoot these things out to you! Generally, a set of six (two extra just in case ) would cost ~$15 shipped, depending on what logo/design one goes with, using top quality, Oracal vinyl. The V falls into that price range. I'll start a new thread discussing what all my business offers. Thanks!
