Bought T2 Racing Shocks...Need Mas Info...

    Team Caddy,

Just bought Sachs T2 racing shocks from Tags from this forum and was looking for more information on them as it's very difficult to obtain literature on these. Dreamin, I think had said they were a lot stiffer than Fg2's but wanted to know if they are indeed racing shocks and where could I get specs on them.

Also, will they mate with Ground Control?

    Thanks,
    Chef

There is both a GM part number and a Sachs part number. Here's the information from one of the front shocks:

    CTS-V T2 Front
    GM: PR501652
    S/N: 42392
    Sachs: 004981711410
    Date: 9/16/04

Here's the same information for one of the rear shocks:

    CTS-V T2 Rear
    GM: PR501652
    Sachs: 844904555648
    S/N: 42380
    09/16/04

    Hey Michael:

The installation instructions are exactly the same as the install for the
FG2's which can be found in the Faq's pages. They are definitely stiffer than the FG2's. I was told 25% stiffer with just the stock springs & firmer with the coilovers and that they were indeed used on the race circuit. This is what they told me over at Sach's tech support before I purchased them and I drove my friend's V, Kook Jr's car with the same setup.

    Thanks,
    Paul

Install should be exactly the same. LPE told me 25% - 50% stiffer than stock. Short of getting them shock-dyno'd... dont think you will get a more specific 'spec' on them. Since they are designed to run with the stock springs... they should be compatible with the GC kit. Post a pic of the fronts and we should be able to figure it out. And if they say "CTS-V T2"... that's definitely the race shock (T2 is the SCCA racing class they are used in)

Is that 25-50% stiffer than FG2s or FE4s?

They nix the load leveling on that setup, right?
