Too Many V's in Round Rock, Texas !

Drove out of the neighborhood today behind a new red V (paper plates). Guy down the street appears to also have a new black one.

Seems like everyone in my neighborhood (Forest Creek) now has a V !

What I would do to be back in Texas adding to your over-populated problem! I've been gone since '97. I don't even have to be in Houston, just inside the border is fine with me!

And I left Austin in 2001 for Raleigh, NC. Still dream of moving back...except between July and September (folks in Austin know what I'm talking about)

Lived in Houston for 9 years....not going back

Because of the overpopulation or the Heat.
Everytime I go home, I'm like damn it's too many people here. All day long Traffic. Rush hours is no longer just an hour, it's the whole day. Just call it RUSH!

Still If I could get to Austin, Arlington, Corpus, Beaumont, I would be happy. I could boot scoot boogey in an out of Houston at will from these spots.

This thread is so weird for me because I am looking for a home in Round Rock! I am looking at moving to the Austin area in the near future. I am also considering Dripping Springs.

Yes, add a black on black '05 for the not to far future (I hope!). I can't wait to get out of the crowded and crazy Phoenix area.

Good luck on the househunting. You have probably heard that getting across town is a bear.... so if you are working in South Austin, try to live South... if you are working North.... live North. I know folks that spend hours each day commuting because they got it wrong.

I know we've talked about this before, but we really should have a local get-together.

Good info, thanks. When in town I will work out of a home office. I do use the airport quite a bit though. The airport is in southeast Austin, correct? If I were to move west of Austin (Dripping Springs), would it make sense to use the San Antonio airport?
    Thanks.

San Antonio is quite a trip (1.5 hours), while dripping springs to the airport is about 25 minutes. I think San Antonio would rarely be a choice.

Generally, here is the breakdown of Austin....

SouthEast = Airport, mixed zoning, not so great unless you venture further south.
SouthWest= Pretty nice, rural and scenic. Some nice developments.
    Central=Pricey
Northeast=Suburban area. Very nice homes, some nice developments. Land is flatter and fewer trees.
Northwest=Hillcountry and Suburban area, some nice developments. Near to lakes (good for me), furthest from Airport.

The new toll roads are making getting around alot easier. Let us know if you have further Q's. Myself, I live in Avery Ranch (Northwest Austin).
