quaife diff

It looks like Quaife has a diff for the V6 CTS and also for the SRT-8's..

http://www.quaifeamerica.com/differe.../diff_apps.htm

I though the regular CTS' share the exact rear as us.. or did they just skip over the V's?

Re: quaife diff

Most of the problem with our diff is the casing. Quaifes don't come with new casings.

Re: quaife diff

Ah ok..

Well, hmm

What about trying to reinforce the case, kind of similar to what DTE does for the C5's??

Re: quaife diff

Been here and done it. The V diff case is too light for the application. The 2 side covers bellow and there is not enough meat around the pinion bearing.
It needs a redesign. I was working on that but the guys that I gave a cradle to and 2 differentials to work with BS'd me and did nothing. What needs to happen is to convince an IRS diff builder to manufacture a new HD unit.

Re: quaife diff

Rodney from RPM Transmissions in Indiana just picked an 06 V that needs work. Someone might want to bug him.
