    CTSV failed inspection

Well it is my fault, I will not drill the front end to mount the front plate. Since it is required for my state I'll have to pay a private inspector that might perhaps forget to check for a front plate.

I bought my 2004 CTSV USED and thus did not get a dealer installed inspection sticker. It had 19 miles on it when I test drove it. It seems the dealer to whom it was delivered in the middle of PA could not sell it to farmers for carrying bales of hay. They took it to auction where a Chevy dealer from NJ bought it. I saw it and bought it USED.

I bought a new car here in TN once. They don't even issue front license plates in this state. But the dealer still mounted his advertising on the front of every car on the lot.

    Re: CTSV failed inspection

Any thought to zip-tie-ing the front plate onto the V Grill (covering the Cad crest/logo)? I am not suggesting this as a permanent solution, more along the lines of something that would get you thru the inspection

If you are worried about the plate scratching something go to a hardware store and get some heavy thick insulative foam tape (if you decide to do this - don't cheap out here) and then use that on the back edge (with some more in the middle too) of the plate so it's cushioned up agianst the grill.

That would be what I'd do FIRST. Seems like it might work....I hope.

Just attach the front plate holder to the bumber cover with double sided tape, then after the inspection use a hairdryer to remove it...

I was thinking double-sided foam tape, also. To get it off, slide dental floss between the bumper and the foam tape - it should get most of the foam and adhesive off, too.
