E-Brake... ive been told to get it adjusted because it drops to low to engage so I figured it might be that... but your right... it wouldnt vibrate the front pedal...

I haven't been having battery problems yet, but the coolant thing is definitely a problem! Thanks for the heads up about the TSB.

The car is in the Dealer. SARANT CADILLAC. Awesome dealership. 1/2 hour car in shop, paper work done, on the road with a rental.

    So far....

    ECM Recall- Done
    New Radiator- Done

    Everything else still pending including....

Friction or virbation at all speeds in the pedal.
    Battery not charging message.
Rubbing front wheels at full turn.

I have to say Caddy has good service, but for a vehicle with less than 24k miles on it, its got alot of problems.

    No suprise here...

The #1 warranty item on the V is 'battery replace'.
This occurs roughly three times more frequently than the #2 warranty item, which is rear diff replace.
#3 and #4 are tire balance and alignment
    #5 is radiator replace

Yeah, but it sure sucks to have 4 out of the 5 of the problems

True. I calculate the chances as 1 out of about 230,000 vehicles to have those specific 4 out of 5 problems! And considering the number of V's that have been produced....yeah that does suck.

The fact that these problems are so damn common and GM has done nothing to fix them is worse.

Except for the rear end, those are not major problems.
I can see those bieng issues on just about any car.
Batterey, Radiator, Tire Balancing, Alignment are normal maintenance items.
GM really should not even cover those.
Be glad you have a Bumper to Bumper warranty that covers little things like that.

So... I guess the Alt is going bad and thats probably the binding, friction im feeling every once in a while.

    Thanks all for the help...

What about peeling interior buttons? Covered?
Got my car back from the dealer today, ordered a new NAV system due to peeling/flaking interior buttons...covered under warranty, no questions asked. They cannot replace just the buttons, only the entire NAV system.
FYI had my radiator replaced at 7K under warranty, no issues since then.

Still loving the V... No problems until now...

Im getting a slight vibration in the pedal every once in a while. Hard to describe... Its not a rattle... its more like a hum... feels like the front end maybe... Maybe a wheel bearing... maybe the emergency brake rubbing. Maybe the breaks.. I really donít notice a slowdown when it happens... and it only seems to happen when im light on the pedal..

The second problem is I seem to be losing coolant. I donít know where as there is no leaks. Maybe im just burning it up... maybe the sensor is to sensitive.. but I top it off during my oil changes and about 2.5k miles later im getting the message to add coolant.

The third is "Battery Not Charging" Im getting this every once in a while also... volts drop to about 11.5 to 12. This is probably just the battery going bad.

Either way... the top two are causing me to

Anyone with the same symptoms please clue me in. Im bringing it into the dealer on 4/4/07 and it would be nice to tell them whats wrong.
I had the batt not charging one. the problem for me was the cable from the Alt. cracks after getting to close too a hot part. It wasn't the batt. it was a cable.

so the car is back in the shop since last Wednesday. Lucky this dealer has good service and I get a car. Nice DTS btw... ride is smooth.

So they changed the Alt. and the mechanic said it didnt fix the problem and that they were at a loss and havent seen this problem yet.

Good to know on the NAV and it being covered under warranty.

    Radiator replace- No more leak
    ECM Flash- /shrug
Wheel well molding loose- Fixed the rubbing problem.

    Battery not charging-
    Peeling Buttons-

Ill update when completed... if ever...
