Car Wash Problems

Well, I bit the bullet today and went to a regular car wash (not touchless)....BIG mistake, i got out and there was a nice big chip on the driver side front door...I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO EVERYONE HERE...the people at the car wash are really nice tho and they told me that it RARELY happens but every time it does the car gets buffed out or painted....I should be hearing from their corporate office within 2 days....I hope everything turns out well!!

P.S. Next time I'm listening to everyone on this forum when they tell me wool mitt only!

Re: Car Wash Problems

Free buff out-whole car or just that part? If the whole car might not be that bad of a trade...

Re: Car Wash Problems

i wouldnt even want them buffing it or doing anything more to the car. I would make them pay for you to have it fixed to YOUR liking at the BODYSHOP of YOUR choice, otherwise tell them you will see them in COURT. IMO, they probably don't even know how to properly use a buffer, and could end it ruining more than you bargained for. In addition, if they get the car painted most likely it will be at Maaco or another similar crappy national paint shop. Do what I said, and good luck

Re: Car Wash Problems

dude, I think your lucky their doing anything to help you...aren't those places 'at your own risk' I know the places by me wont cover anything...I mean if they run your car into another car obviously they will fix it...but damages occurred by their machine anything....consumers bite the bullet....I use a pressure cleaner and wash it my self...it's just not worth the hassle if something does happen.
