My mods are just a K&N Typhoon intake, and the tune. I gained 21 whp and 20 wtq with the tuning. I've very happy since I gained a lot of area under the curve which to me is the most important. Dan also tuned for partial throttle and load situations so the car is very smooth.
Overall it cost $200 for the hptuners license + 1 hour of tuning, so it was ~$350. The shop is Tuning Factory in Novi, MI.
BTW don't pay attention to the fact that it says flywheel hp and tq. Dan leaves the SAE correction at 1.00 so it's a true wheel number. |

I have heard nothing but good things about the HP tuners setup. We are going to do a little back to back testing between the HP tuners and the diablo (since I already have the thing) just to see how much more we can pick up with the added tunability of the HP setup. |

BTW, being local, you should stay in touch with us local guys for upcoming get togethers. | This isn't my first rodeo so I don't think so. I've gone down that road before with my daily. If I want a project car I'd pick up something different. Where do you guys post about meets and such? If you guys don't have a normal meet you could join me in Novi every tuesday night at BWs or Hooters. It used to be a Subaru meet (I had a 03 WRX), but nowaday most of us old school guys have everything but a WRX. It's a blast with everything from boosted IS300s, to boosted vipers, to Bentleys.
Absolutely right on the looks like a turbo torque curve. When my first tuned run I had such a woody.....until I saw the values. My buddy was suprised too, and laughing with me since he deals with mostly imports where that would be a 40+ gain. The a/f was ~12.6 with a little dip around 4k since that seemed to be a very knocked proned area that removing some timing couldn't take care of. |

(He travels a bunch and is a moderator on the Grand Prix forum so is busy.) ronr is real close to you in Grand Blanc and usually tries to organize us to go to Gratton near Grand Rapids with a bunch or Porsche guys in September. Then there's barry007 and Mescalvito nearby, too. Check the faq and register for more of us. SwampFox is in Northville ... he and I are "old school guys."
Where/what is BWs? I'm REAL close just a couple of miles west of South Lyon. |

Where/what is BWs? I'm REAL close just a couple of miles west of South Lyon. | I have friends that go to Grattan and Gingerman all the time. I could talk to some people too about vising the plant, but it doesn't really interest me that much. I travel GM plant to plant so it's nothing new. I will check into it though.
BWs is Buffalo Wild Wings. It's right next to emagine in fountain walk. hooters is right around the corner. We park in BFE and hang out talking cars after dinner and a few drinks. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
