Anybody have this happen yet. Was pulling out of my driveway yesterday afternoon and heard a snap and saw a large bolt fly out from under the car. The bottom ball joint broke and the crontrol arm was setting on the rim. I'm amazed because I never seen a 1/2 in. bolt break clean like that. Yea no doubt, about 2 hours before this happened I was heading out to my work on the long country road the county just repaved and brought up to 110 MPH. |

It kinda sucks, from now on I will be nervous with any speed over 55 MPH. |

Yeah, please let us know what they say caused this. Jeez, that could have been nasty.
BTW, still love those wheels. Glad they weren't damaged either. |

I recall reading on another CTS V message board about a CTS V that had a similar catastrophic failure of a front control arm, this guy was on the highway when it failed. An unforced failure of a suspension bolt is the stuff that recalls are made of. Lets hope GM looks into this before someone is hurt. 
CBCTSV, please ask your dealer to report this failure to the home office, or better still, report it yourself (I would take nothing for granted knowing my dealer), remember just a VERY small percentage of V owners are on this board, who knows how common this type of failure is. |
