Went to the new car show here today. The 2008 CTS wasn't there. Got damaged in Edmonton, another reason to keep the Calgary/Edmonton rivalry alive. (for those that know where the heck they are!)
They had a 2007 V there and I tried the shifter. Hmm just like my shifter, NOW that I have put in the UUC and bushings. Anyone know if they changed or am I just imagining things?
I went to see the local high performance shop booth. They had a new Vette with a procharger as well as a 300C SRT8 with procharger. I was talking to them about the CAGS eliminator and we were getting along fine until I told him I had a 2006 V. Then he said it had to be disconnected via computer which they could do. He also said they have a magi for the LS2 motor. I had thought it wasn't out yet??

I kind of like the look of Audis and so does my son who was with me. Looked at the A4 and he was saying it looks just like his friend VW Jetta inside! He was kind of chucking and then got in the back seat and was looking around and said yep everything like his friend's car. Then I had to see for my self so we went to see the Jetta pretty close alright. This comment would have been good for last year's thread!

They had a Lambo, with the doors open. In Orange with Orange and Black interior. It screamed I've got more money than taste. In a diff color scheme okay.
We went to have a look at Fords. They had a GT500 with the Ford window sticker on it CDN$53,600! I figured something was wrong. I found the sales manager of the local dealership. He told me that yes, that is the posted price BUT they only get 6 this year so they are selling for something like CDN$78,000 or what ever someone will pay. He did say that when they first got them he did sell the first one for list price. He said he thought it strange the customer came in and didn't want to talk him down on the price. Later when he found out what he should have sold it for he wasn't too happy.

Saw my first Lotus Exige being shown by a tuner company here. I can see it would be a great fun car, not practical but lots of fun.
Well that's about all my comments, had a good day. Oh yeah, I was followed home by an older Thunderbird. Either he wanted to get a closer look at the V, or he wants to steal it sometime. I don't think it was road rage as he wasn't riding my bumper. I sure home he was just admiring.
Oh, one last thing...I saw another V in town and actually driving. First one in a couple of years.
Bruce
