The Export model CTS have TV tuners on the Nav units. Is there a way we can tap into this on our vehicles.
Why would the Chinese get to watch TV on their Navigation units and we can't?

They probably dont care about safety like the U.S. does. Its a cool feature...but really there are a lot of drivers out on the road that cant drive for s#!t - imagine how they would be with the ability to watch tv. Anyhow, i would like the option to watch tv.

It would only work while stopped, because it can't get the signal when moving. So for all those "i'll bypass it. YOU CAN'T"

Different tech for mobile TV (primarily cellphones and PMP type devices) is available in parts of asia and europe;DMB-? something or other that is not broadcast in the US anyway . . .
would not currently work here.

I looked into this a while ago... I was told that it's a no go, as the TV tuner module is in the PAL format only, and will not work with NTSC (US broadcast system).

The mod for that car is $450 and will give you 2 video inputs 1 for dvd
