Looking for all input on routes, dates, etc. I'm thinking end of March or early April will be best weather-wise. NoSlack had mentioned the 129-180-69 route earlier. I'm not familiar with it but it sounds good. There's also a couple of scenic byways that can be found on byways.org (I've driven Ridge & Valley and it's pretty good - very little cop presence) and of course there's always Deal's Gap. From what I hear the Gap can get kind of crowded. There's also Cherohala Skyway which would be less crowded, but those areas may be too far of a drive for some.
So let's hear from you guys, especially those that may be familiar with some of these routes. |

As you get RSVP's and a date, I can manage accordingly.
BTW - did a flyby at Vengence, nice to know they are so close for me. Didn't have time to get the nickel tour, but have them dialed in now.

You should know better with all these V's that are maggied and other goodies under the hood.....don't think it will be hard to keep up
BTW - how do you like the STS? That is supercharged NorthStar, correct? |

12, my weekends are usually pretty full as well. That's why I'm hoping we can plan this well in advance. |

And, there is no parade clunk,no differential whine....(knocks on wood)...I hadn't really considered it until I happened to run across this one for a really good price and then it became clear that while I was trying to get a CTS-V, it was really the STS-V that met my needs. |

The highways I mentioned were suggestions from another forum. I hoping there are some north GA locals that could recommend some great roads that might have a good stop for lunch. |

I was talking to a neighbor today who's "run the gap" in his Miata several times. He highly, highly recommended it if we could work it out. It's about 3 hours from Atlanta so that would probably involve leaving early in the morning and would be a full day for most of us (probably involve an overnight stay for those further than Atlanta). But we may be able to meet up with some NC Vs as well. Let me know what you guys think. |

Great proposal to make this a regional gathering.....carolina V's, East TN V's, and by all means any V.
I would probably get a late start due to soccer season. Fortunately games are pretty early on Saturdays, would still be able to make it by early/mid afternoon.
If people are bringing spouses or family, I may bring mine. Find a place with pool and stuff for kids while daddy plays with his toy.
Weekend of 4/14 or 4/21 might be candidates to consider. Might need to change thread banner to Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap
Keeping an eye on it and see what develops.
