Just clamp them to your old lens once removed (on the inside - requires only 2 clamps that way) and heat evenly. I know acrylic softens at about 280 degrees, so some patience is required.
You'll hear things "working". Once you're satisfied it is hot enough, turn it off and let it cool for 15 minutes or so.
My test this morning was promising enough that I intend to pull the fog assemblies from the V tomorrow

I just wanted to update everyone that I've had no troubles with my lenses as of yet (KNOCK ON WOOD ).
Many washes, many rainy days, and several thousand blug splats later they're still holding strong. |

What adhesive did you use?
Box of materials for clear fogs showed up today
I'm off to the desert until Tuesday. I'll cut a bunch then. Fog lenses are $18 a pair (sorry, the shipping via USPS is more than expected).

WW | WW,
I'm using clear silicon adhesive sealant I purchased at AutoZone. Are you having trouble keeping your lenses glued togethor? |

I did not have success with the silicone on my fogs - but others have.

A coworker of mine has suggested the use of Amazing Goop - Marine(UV & Waterproof). He's used it to bond lexan to other materials that take a physical beating and has never had a problem with them falling apart. He proclaims the bond is right up there with plastic welder.
I'm trying to locate a tube just in case a lens "unsticks". |

The marine says it bonds to metal, canvas, wood, vinyl, and rope. The automotive says metal, glass, plastic, vinyl, and leather. Auto withstands heat to 150*. I wonder if they're fundamentally the same and just packaged differently. Amazing GOOP | Glues Whatever. Bonds Forever. |

Do you have more of the clear fogs, and smoked sides in stock? I'm interested in a set if you do.
Thanks,

Fogs are $20 a set shipped and engraved sidemarkers are $19.95. Call it $35 bones for a set of both

Any pictures of the available options? Want to figure out which one I would like to get? Pretty sure I want clear fogs, but not sure on the side markers. Gratz. |

Any left? If smoked sidemarkers are used, with the orange LED lights. What is the resulting color? | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
