WW, I am interested in a set of the beta side markers. Did you say these are clear with no pattern? The stock amber markers look like crap! |

Well, I really like the way yours look, & the spray on stuff sounds kinda half-arsed. It really sounds like it is not too difficult; I just need to take a look at how hard it is to remove/reinstall the sidemarker lights; Any tips? - where do you approach them from best, underneath the front end (?), and what tools are required? |

+are there instructions anywhere (like for the DRL's in the FAQ) on removing the side markers? Also, which were easier to do the sidemarkers or the DRL's?
Sorry for all the ???? | mine are ww sid markers i used a small flathad screwdriver a dremel and a nailfile to smooth it out...for glue i used superglue because this material bonds like crazy with that stuff and if your careful you cant see it at all

Bad news first: the sidemarkers are an absolute bitch to put together with the adhesive (s) I chose. I placed a popsicle stick under the middle of the lens and glued down the ends to give the sidemarker the same height and curvature as the original. Good in theory, but a PITA to pull off. I used "high temp" silicone adhesive to seal and 10 minute-set epoxy. Horrible idea. I had to redo them twice because they started to seperate in the Vegas heat after I installed them. Gotta redo them soon, WW, I'll PM you to buy a new set of smoked lenses/clear base.
Good news: LOOK AT THE PICTURES, OMG MY V LOOKS SEXY!!!!
I picked up 194A bulbs at AutoZone for like $10 that look perfect behind the smoked sidemarkers. They fit perfectly and have 4 clear LEDs per bulb that light up amber. Picture attached of the actual bulb's packaging (bulbs pictured are the factory bulbs that I am storing in the same packaging). |

you might like the engraved versions better (photo doesn't do it justice). This was the first one off.

I would be interested in a smoked set of both drl's and side markers when they are ready, or if you need an overseas beta tester i would be happy to do that to, I haven't seen any V's here in the middle east, other than mine, lots of stock CTS's though. all these saudi's driving pasta rockets don't know what hit them!!! as far as the etched logo, Barak has a great question, is the V logo doable? | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
