Not sure I'd want to go into production right now unless there's enough interest and then it would be a couple weeks out. If someone would like to try a set to see how they perform I could sneak them in. We are scheduled at about 120% capacity for the next few weeks on these machines so it would be tough to tie them up. |

By the way we can convert from AutoCad, SolidWorks, etc. What are you using?

Anyone who has removed their stock lenses, I'd like to get them from you. I chucked mine and just realized that I could be using them to sort of cold form the new lenses (convex?) for those interested in acrylic for their DRL's.
The things you come up with when you're sleeping.
Anyone with stock DRL lenses removed willing to donate them to the cause?

WW | That makes it a little more difficult. I'd need to do raster to vector conversion to cut them and I don't have the software. We are a machine shop and don't do much "artistic" work. Usually just "make per print". Or if the drawings are dimensioned I could redraw them. |

geggbat - email me and I'll send you a test file to make sure my conversion settings are right. I'm guessing most current software in use at your shop?

Sorry WW, i got the sidemarker lenses in the mail a few days ago but have been so busy I have not had time to glue them together/remove and disassemble my factory sidemarkers. I'lll post pics (probably Saturday) when they are complete and mounted on the V. |

Did the smoked side marker lights ever get past the beta stage?
Have you got or will you be making more for sale?
+How difficult are they to install? |

Sorry about posting late but, I had not yet seen those pictures. I have to say how great that looks! Something as simple as clear lights definatly adds a nice, clean look. Looks awesome! |

The side markers are at beta stage still, but I have several sets cut if you're interested. Really a simple install. Start Sat afternoon and let dry overnight, pop them back in the next morning, or something like that. You could use CyA adhesive for faster results (some have).
The lenses work great (as do the acrylic fogs at this point) and there have been requests for engraved patterns to difract light, but not all feel that is necessary. I'm running smoke gray 1/8" acrylic and like them fine enough for now.

So do your smoked (sidemarker) lenses replace the yellow ones or just get glued on top of them? If replacing, do the lights need to be removed and baked in the oven like the DRL's to get the factory adhesuve to give way?
+are there instructions anywhere (like for the DRL's in the FAQ) on removing the side markers? Also, which were easier to do the sidemarkers or the DRL's?
Sorry for all the ???? |

The SM are much easier than the DRL's are. The lense is removed and replaced. I used the oven heating method, but next set I do I think I'll just Dremel the lense off.
If you simply want to put something over the factory orange lense, I'd suggest nite-shades spray on tint.
