2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V Appearance Mods Discussion, Another Black on Black V w/20" Asanti's in Cadillac CTS-V Series Forum - 2004 - 2007; Finally had time to take some pics before it got dark. Here are my new shoes. This has to be ...
those are very nice, do they come in 19's????????????
Yes they come in 19's.
I've read on this forum how 20's were so harsh to live with that some members decided to sell them and go down to 19's. I hope that doesn't happen to me. So far they run really smooth. They still go over little potholes and rough roads quietly and smoothly. I'm very happy I went with the 20's. It might be that the tires helped and I can't really complain.
These Nitto's are my first set ever. So far I'm impressed with how quiet they are. I did notice that braking has suffered. The car doesn't seem to stop as well as it did on the stocks. The handling is decent enough for street use. I wouldn't recommend these tires for track use but for street use, they are GREAT! These wheels and tires are my street/cruiser wheels. So the setup is just what I wanted to experience. If I want performance, I'll be using the stock wheels with some R compound tires for track use. I'll admit, when it's time to replace these tires, I will be going to Michelin PS2. They seem to have the size tires I need and how can you go wrong with the PS2's?
I still don't know how they do in the rain, and that'll be for another post.
Yeah I know, the exhaust is nasty looking right now. It's not aligned all that well and it needs to be cleaned up. I did mention the disclaimer over the pic, "Excuse the rusty exhaust. It'll be repainted, fitted better, and with new tips on Tuesday".
