    CTS-CTS-V Hood

    Guys, this is killing me!

I have an outfit that will make a hood for the V. They need 15 or more peices.
What I need from all of you is a concensus (yeah right)!!... on the type of 'look' NACA, cowl, ram, extraction. etc any pics....? Its priced 'right' and is as nice below as it is on top. They can also incorporate 'ram air' over the air box.

Let me know what you think...

Can you post some conceptual pics?

I have heard a few negatives on the SPECTER and want to know of any alternatives.

I would be in for sure. Nothing against Specter but you have had their hood for some time and you haven't put it on yet.. That has always made me think that it wasn't up to your quality??? Am I right, or do you just like the hood you made better???

I'm interested in something along the lines of what I've seen on the STS-V...a short, smooth cowl that is lighter than stock and lets the hot air out.

Although a small ram air similar to the idea behind the new Z06 hood would be nice, but not sure it would be functional with our inlet set up.

I'm a for sure if the hood is right. I tend to like the teutonic look, simple but agressive styling.

I tend not to like the in your face ricer look or the 1/4 mile grab all the air you can get look.

A reverse cowl, sort of like the one on the STS-V, with a bit more boldness would be in order.

What about a hood like the late model SS Camaro? Good for cold air induction, not sure ram air really is as efficient as cowl induction

Im partial to that as well. I think rear cowl induction to the top of an open/gasketed airbox by stealth.
