ok not my best work, but its all i can do with MSpaint, so if you got a better program maybe you can do it. But you see what i mean? i could be wrong though.
Nooo, that is the intake ducted to the airbox. Extractor (option) would be panels on the L&R like the specter hood. I tried to fudge those in but I couldnt get it right PSP is no CAD program.

I'm waiting for the dust to settle, see what the design looks like and how much it costs. Does that make sense?

Price was given. With at least 10 peices $6-700.00. Jim is going to make one up for us to view and critique before making the plug. Can't beat that. Also, we may have a volunteer in the Houston area to get a test fit to make sure its 99.999%

    Re: CTS-CTS-V Hood

Did I read in here that we will also have to get it painted as well? What's a reasonable price to have that done? (I haven't even researched that at all)

Apologies if I missed something--I'm flying through these threads at the moment.

paint depends on where you have it done...I'm figureing about $300+ for a good paint job.

Exactly, You cannot ship a painted hood. Its too much of a risk. Especially if it goes UPS>>

still beats the hell outa the like 1200 for a specter hood, even that needs to be painted. Question though, how is the heat extractors "option" going to work? is it basicly an all or none thing, or say if only 3 outa 10 want it he can just add it to those 3 hoods? When i get off work i'll see if i cant add some extractors to my(well our) chop.

Im sure it can be a plug insert. There will probably be some
pattern lines on the non extractor hood to sand out. Should be doable.

    Re: CTS-CTS-V Hood

I am in if it works.

SPECTER chooses not to reply to my inquiries and requests.

It is good to know some of these vendors are aware of the SUBSTANTIAL buying power of this forum.

    I don't like a raised hood.
That being said, if it is the "only way to go" then it is a no brainer.
I need to shed some heat.

Looking at the picture in owner's manual I would say that the regular CTS has the air box in the same location, but it is definitely not the same airbox.

i would think that it would work the same on the base and V CTS, with the Volant, no lid, would be about the same.
